Thank you for supporting Waves of Impact and the wonderful work they do for our kids.  It is amazing to see local companies and organizations step up to the plate and support organizations like this.  Without the generosity of people like you I don't know that i would ever have seen my son surf.  It was an amazing opportunity and we were blessed to be able to participate.  As you can see Ben felt so comfortable and safe that he just went with it and was surfing in no time.  I would never imagined that he would do something like this.

 

It was a great pleasure to meet you and get to know you at the fundraiser.  We had a nice relaxing time and got to know a little bit about each other.  We did win the raffle so we will definitively be back to paddle board or kayak.  That will be a new experience for Chris and myself since Ben already knows how to do it.  He will be our teacher for a change.  It sounds exciting to learn how to do it.

 

We hope that Waves will have another event and that we will have the privilege of sharing our time and joy with you.

On behalf of the Schneider family, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our Waves of Impact experience possible. Our son Charlie has Angelman Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects the central nervous system. He has difficulties with mobility, and is non-verbal. He faces challenges every day, and is not able to take part in "normal" activities like most children do. Because of his ongoing necessary medical care, we are also not usually able to afford specially adapted experiences like surfing, horseback riding, etc. With your support, ours and many other families were able to provide our children with an unforgettable experience. My son just this week watched the movie "Lilo and Stitch", which has a surfing scene. He ran up to the tv and was visibly excited about this particular scene, and I realized that he must have recognized it from his own time surfing. What an amazing moment. Thank you for all that you do!

My family and I would like to Thank You for sponsoring the Free Surf Camp for Kids with Special Challenges in Lavallette on August 15,2013.  It was a beautiful day - one filled with great memories.  My son is autistic and certain situations affect him more than others and although he did not go surfing - he did try, the volunteers were awesome with him and we were allowed to have him sit on the board and adjust to the new environment. It was a positive experience and hopefully that will allow for more participation the next time we attempt to surf again. We appreciate these opportunities to allow our son to try new things in an environment that in non-judgmental and positively reinforced.

It is wonderful that you sponsor such events and please know that we are very grateful for it.
